She would have probably bagged 2sec just running more even splits. Looks like she tried to play catch-up.

Lauren Gregory throws down a 4:29 DMR anchor beating Valby and Roe…
Stanford for the money w the win.
Blazing run by Gregory.
4 lead offs 3:20 or under, that is super fast.
Varsity anchor work from Tanaka; in 3d behind Valby and Roe w 200 to go and crushed em both.

She ran smart at a pace she could handle so she had something left at the end.

Roe edged out Valby.
Valby just does not have the speed for a good mile. Her rough splits were 65/69/71/70
Where did you find Valby’s splits?
2:01 for Willis running from the front too

I took notes as I watched! They are a little rough but probably within 1 second per 400
Thanks. My gym has SEC Network (and most of the ESPN channels), on which they showed gymnastics.
I wonder if Stanford should have lead off Tanaka and anchored Whitaker? Might have risked Whitaker having to run from the front though and with her lack of mile experience that might have not gone optimally.

I think I noted Valby at close to 31 for her first 200 which is just too fast for her.
One of these teams could possibly get the record this season, if they focused on it.

And Tanaka probably watched the mistake, and measured accordingly.

I saw Tuohy do that in hs - on a dmr 21/32 for 63, then 70, then 74/74 crawling at the end. Got too excited trying to catch the leaders....
But she won. :)

btw for this you need something that streams SEC Network +. If you find a computer with that the replay will be there.

Interesting, thanks.

Possibly why they were going to test Britton Wilson in an 800 - sorry to hear she got sick and had to miss the meet. Phenomenal athlete.

Can Diggs run an 800? lol
Interesting idea - it’s her family’s event. Would not bet against her but she is probably in too many events already. 400, maybe 200 and of course 4 x 400. Who ran the 800 leg for Florida tonight?
