Is there a chance there isn't one this year? That would be nuts but it's kind of weird they haven't announced this year's design yet.
They sell them for what, $100? Probably sell at least 15,000 of them. $1.5 million minus manufacturing cost of $0.06 they pay a 9-yo in Thailand to make them = $1,499,100 in profit. Of course there will be a jacket.

Adidas (or BAA) really falls short in its release of upcoming Boston Marathon stuff. With registration mid Sept and an announcement on the acceptable time, you'd think a release of the 2023 BM stuff would be available for Christmas gifts. That's just plain ole Marketing 101.
I'm not a BM stuff junkie, I just pay attention to poor business practices - lost opportunities.
Back to the 2023 jacket; as long as they don't put lot of that Social Justice and DEI writing on it - it'll just fine.
how many volunteers get jackets? They deserve them imo but just curious how many the B.A.A. provides. it has to be much more than 15,000. I know they aren’t the same jackets as the runners.
Does anyone know if they always do the "own the run" jacket too? I ran Boston last year, didn't buy the jacket, and kind of regretted it...and they completely sold out of my size. I don't like the huge Boston emblem on the back though and prefer the Own the Run one.

It seems like every year at the BAA expo, they sell out of everything except xxl and xxxl before the expo even starts. Does Adidas look at the size of the average marathon runner when they decide size distributions?
adidas and the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) unveiled today the iconic celebration jacket for the upcoming 127th Boston Marathon. This year’s celebration jacket is made of a minimum 70% recycled content, making it the...
Adidas used "sustainable materials" for the race/finishers shirts at Berlin last year. Felt like wearing a cheese grater (pretty much fit like one too). But I'm sure they'll figure it out after iterating for another decade.
