Tell me manutd fan, how does it feel to be 8 points down on arsenal?
Important to contextualize that this was at altitude and the three people who beat him were Christian Noble (D2 record holder), Brodey Hasty, and Santiago Posner. 4:15 and 4th paints a very different picture without that.
4:05 Sea Level adjustment. Wonder how this bodes for his chances at sub 4 on 2/4/23
Honestly a good result for a sea level guy who's been at altitude for only a couple days. Sub 4 should be coming soon.
... for a comparison, Abdihamid Nur ran 4:11.37 at this invite last year and ran 3:55.94 at sea level week later
Aaron S/Lex/Leo should all go sub 4 this year
Can Brayden Seymour go sub-4?
Everyone knows the real question is, who will be their 7th fastest and how fast will they run. Let’s get this thread going! I’ve got Shetty at 4:06. Wait, on second thought, Porter at 4:04.
Sorry, my final answer is Guevara at sub 4! It’s just so hard to decide.
Even if elevation only were to spot him 4:10 or so, that’s still an absolutely fine place to be in January.
By that logic, Kip Keino is a 3:20 1500 meter runner.
That's not logic at all. It is a set of two facts. No conclusion is indicated.
It’s not a conversion, bright boy…
A. Sahlman also won the 800 a couple of hours later in 1:54.56, beats pro Christian Noble.
In addition to the altitude, look at the splits. Sahlman’s first 409 was 67.87 (4:27 pace); his last 600 was 90.75. Even at sea level that would likely indicate 4:10 shape or better.
doesn’t seem like a good place to be if he want a a shot at 1:46 during the season. he would need to be in around 1:52 shape now.
1:54 indoors @ 7000 feet elevation IS 1:52 shape, at least
He actually has a faster 800 PR than Noble.
Schohn was #8 last fall without Hector. Can’t forget about him
It will also be interesting to see how well the freshman trio (Dickran, N Sloan and Bernardino) step up. Heard in an interview that this freshman class wants to do what this year’s NP senior class has done
Still pending on which high school the younger Cantu will commit to. And whether Hector will run track this spring
Nope. No adjustment for 800.
Excellent contribution! We can never have enough info on the JV runners at Newbury Park. Fascinating stuff!
