What’s the slowest 200m speed a national/world class guy, who runs around 3:35, could have ?

Those sound good for the avg 3:35 runner, but they aren’t minimums.

I think the minimums would be closer 23 flat / 50 flat / 1:48 high.

Think of a runner like Moh Ahmed, 5/10k guy who has also run 3:34

About right. Coaching a 800/1500 guy who ran 1.46.05/3.35.17 this year - his PR's are 47.97 and 22.5.

Double your 800 PR and you'll get a good guess of your 1500 potential.

1:45- 3:30

1:46-3:32

Around 23.5-23.75. Nick Willis ran 3:29 and his all time best 200m was 23.0 FAT (he's quoted as saying this). 24.0 would be more like a 3:36/37 unless you're a super outlier.

In case anyone is interested I asked Nick a while back about Hobbs Kessler's 200m FAT also. He said they both had almost identical 200m times - this is comparing Nick's all time best 200m to what Hobb's current best is.
