We changed the title. It was initially just titled, "Camel City Invite"

Why did the Hokie Invite thread get deleted?
I don't know that was bizarre. Maybe a mistake?
Can only assume because someone mentioned the Huntington drama. If Wiley is in meets racing D1 & pros it's going to come up, don't see why whole threads get deleted.
In any case - the Tuohy / Wiley match up is super interesting. Did not expect that so soon. I think Tuohy pulls it out but curious what others think. Ellie leather is in the race also.
Lindsay Butler & Claire Seymour are in the 800m so we will get a preview (possibly) of NCAAs. I hope they both do well
Addy can beat Tuohy. There is no doubt.

Lineup says Jazmine Fray is pacing. Does anyone know what it is being paced at?

By inviting Wiley the Carmel Invite turned the race into a farce run under a cloud. A top HU runner just tested positive at NAIA nationals, which tells you everything about the brazen mindset. No reason to trust anything associated with the HU program, and no reason to want to be associated with the ongoing scandal. Legitimate athletes should not be subjected to this sordid nonsense, and the Carmel Invite openly invited it. HU's current athletes made their bed. I would not have my athletes run in any race with HU athletes until that program is seriously cleaned up.
This is going to be AWESOME! NCAA Indoor Mile record is in jeopardy!
I’ll project that Tuohy goes 4:10 for 1500 w/ a 16 second final close = 4:26.00 ALMOST getting the record, but good enough for #2 NCAA all-time indoor.

1 week before Millrose - I am not surprised at a (hopefully) fast mile for Tuohy ahead of the 3000 against the pros though I thought it might have been a little sooner. Interesting that Henes is skipping this meet as the defending 3000/mile double champion. But the doubling did tend to result in slower races won by big kicks. Maatog of Duke is entered and she could be every bit as fast as Bush or maybe faster given her 800/3000 prs. I'd bet sub 4:30 to win and many in low 4:30s. Hopefully the pacer goes thru 800 close 2:15 or faster.
* although flat track may not help with super fast mile time with impact of 2.5+ s vs banked 200 m track

Doping? Cmon. Tuohy fans already throwing a runner under the bus making excuses for a huge potential loss.
I'm actually curious as to how many elite HS athletes doped. Fir anonymity, I ran somewhere between 8:58-9:02 for the 3200, and I was clean. However, especially for those who want a national record, I'd want to see them tested
Is there drug testing at this meet? This is usually a nice pay day for an early season event.
How about Tennessee? The coach is a doper and his son is a doper. Is Dylan Jacobs a doper? Should the athletes be prohibited form participation this year? forever?
