I am not saying Felix didn’t earn her 6 Olympic relay medals BUT she has 5 individual medals and so 11 medals as you say. Distance runners cannot easily become 11 time medalists due to the lack of relays. I think a relay medal is not as meritorious. I know many will disagree.

THIS. having been to numerous dual meets there, i found it strange that she was honored on some signs along with other usc athletes. seems like it should require wearing the jersey a couple of times. she's represented the school, but never the team, and those do seem like two distinct things, but maybe i'm biased as a bruin...
