Possibly the greatest running movie and definitely the greatest movie about Pre is available for free on YouTube. Anyone who wants to throw a team watch party or just check it out should give it a shot.

Don't spoil the ending.
Bump
Interestingly, both Pre movies made squat at the box office. They were both positively reviewed box office bombs.

Watch “Fire on the Track” instead. A documentary with real clips of races and some very interesting interviews with fellow athletes; especially Mac Wilkins.

Ever heard of Forrest Gump?
Random strangers don't shout "run Pre" at me.
I watched unbreakable on YouTube for free, now that'll get you motivated.
Try Personal Best, you'll like it.
You never had someone yell ‘Anything else is to sacrifice the gift!’ at you?
Free is too much for Without Limits.
Without Limits (with Billy Crudup) is the cinematic equivalent of Training Day with Denzel Washington. Donald Sutherland = gravitas.
Prefontaine (with Jared Leto) is what jar jar binks did to star wars. Not because of Leto. It was not made for runners.
Thanks for the link! Been a minute.
WL has real race clips too...

Fire on The Track is my favorite as well. I believe Kenny Moore said somewhere that that was what Without Limits was based on, as it takes a lot of the moments mentioned in the doc like Dellinger watching Pre way ahead in the 1968 Oregon state champs. Also gives a great sense of the influence Pre had as they interview Dana Carvey who said meeting Pre was like meeting a rock star.

And one very pithy quote from Ian Stewart, the man who pipped him for bronze.
