I'd like to see Scott Fry do some serious training and get that 2:19 of his from a couple years ago down and surprise some people. He's what, about 35 now. No reason to think he's done.
(1) I thought that David Morris was running Chicago! Guess that I am wrong.
(2) I think that Teddy Mitchell will also have a great race in Minnesota. His 10km fitness should put him about 2;13-2;14.

Not like it is a great loss to the field but I'm out- I'm having knee surgery next week.
Could be a decent payday if any of the Americans can get into the top 3. I believe Twin Cities is allowing them to double-dip.
David Morris was orginally supposed to run in Chicago but
was, now get this denied elite status. Carey P. and staff
seem to have hard ons for those capeable of running 2:05-2:06. I know what I am posting is correct because I recieved
this info from a very reliable source.
Very sorry to hear that. I hope the surgery goes well, and you recover soon (and completely).
I have it from a pretty good source that Rod DeHaven is going to rabbit Chicago but run TwinCities.
Darrell General... remember him? He'll be there. Don't count him out, he didn't look too shabby when he ran NYC. I think he'll be flirting with 2:15.
Isn't he a bit past his prime though?
Eddy Hellebuyck is running to win the masters ,he will take a piece of the U.S money aswell.
Here's the link to the prize structure.

It may not work as a hot link since it's so long.
Lundstrom is from Minnesota, so he should at least double dip.
I see that a masters runner from Minnesota could potentially pick up $39,800 for the win (if they allow septupal dipping).
At NYC Darrell kicked the a--es of a lot of guys who were supposedly right in their prime. And you have to like a guy who says "I'm planning on getting them after 23mi" (which I once heard him say one, about a different race).
someone get a hold of plasencia...
Watch out for Chris Lundstrom. New York was no fluke.
Perhaps it would be best to say Darrell is a "well-seasoned" marathoner. He's healthy and ready to compete. However, I think like many runners he needs more time away from work, more money, and more time to train. He is doing quite well for a later-30s runner and as I said before, I wouldn't count him out.
Best of luck with your surgery/recovery. Just keep your eyes on the big picture- February \'04 in Alabama!!!
