She's in the transfer portal? It's kinda late to transfer now.

Why transfer to NC State when she could follow her coach to Florida?

If she does go to NC State, that 3-peat is secured. Valby didn't follow her coach, I don't expect Tyynismaa to follow hers.

I don't believe it. But if true, penn relays 4x1500m is toast. That would be a great lineup.

NC State fan here. I have no inside information whatsoever. I don’t know what to make of these recent threads about Tyynismaa to the Wolfpack. Pure speculation, or does someone know something?

I did just look on Tyynismaa’s Instagram account and noticed that she is following the official NC State cross country and track and field Instagram account. It would be nice to know WHEN she started following it, but I don’t know how to determine that on Instagram. Maybe you can. She follows 2,400 accounts, so I very quickly scrolled through who she follows, and I didn’t see her following any other college T&F/XC accounts other than Alabama. She’s also following Tuohy, Brooke Rauber, Nevada Mareno, Sam Bush and a few other Wolfpack team members. But of course that might mean nothing.

So who knows.

Also , just saw that the official NC State T&F/XC account is FOLLOWING Tyynismaa on Instagram.

That seems interesting.

All the big names going to established powerhouse top 5 schools. Wait until fall Stanford and nc state will have everyone.

She is clearly very talented and having training partners like Tuohy and Chmiel will likely push her to be a better and faster runner. Sometimes, its not about the coach but who you are running with everyday, because they are the ones that push you and make you better, not the coach.

Giving credit to Henes too, she has been very good at developing runners and keeping them healthy last year.

If this is true... can she compete in indoors for NC state (or wherever she is going)?

I think there is a 30 day window when the coach leaves. Not sure though.

This is just me purely speculating, but what about Okemomoi and Asekol? Do they stay at Bama? Hypothetically, if athletes are leaving Alabama because Palmer left...if some good teams (eg, OK State or New Mexico) pick up them, that could make them title favorites. So it could be a scramble by the top programs to position themselves for next year, if Bama loses these athletes — an arms race.

I'm finding reasons why Tuohy would follow a runner in the offseason. A runner that is in the transfer portal too. I can't find another reason other than Tyynismaa joining her team.
