Why isn’t BTC’s website updated?

They haven't posted an actual workout post (outside of stories) the entire fall. Guessing that a big part of it is that their main manager - Emily Pritt, and main photographer - Cortney White, both live in Portland and haven't moved down. Guessing there's a lot less social media and photography stuff going on as a result.

That said, their website is always slow to change. They had Amy Cragg on there for about a year after her retirement. Ryan Hill and Colleen were on there for awhile post departure. I feel like the only people who got cut quickly after they left were the Stafford's who got removed immediately lol.

Maybe you can offer to be their website administrator.

Cortney White moved to Cali a few months ago so you won’t see her posting workout pics from Eugene.

Try caring about things that truly matter

Both. It’s not a big ask. You want to do everything possible to grow a fringe sport and engage with the small fanbase you have. Not everyone is going to follow each member of the team on instagram. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means but symbolic of how the organization prioritizes their following.

There is no reason for a website not to be up to date in 2022 (or 2023 now). It shows a lack of care.

BTC is down 70%

That it weird! BTC always has many dozens of high school groupies from Track Town USA and Portland Track Club work out their website, videos, and podcasts. They're parents mini-van them around Portland. Nice.

BTC is not a means of payment

I propose that the Burrito Track Club t-shirt proceeds go to pay for a BTC communications intern in 2023.

If you look at all the data points objectively over the past year , BTC is being systematically (or accidentally) dismantled. Jerry’s number one priority is now UO so I would guess that is Nike’s top priority. The BTC shift in location has resulted in a huge disruption to the existing Portland based members which is not a positive for performance. Either Nike views US professional track in general as irrelevant or realizes that the relevant audience is more the NewGen crowd. An out of date website is the least of their issues.

What a downfall they've had in two short years.

To think at this time in 2021 they were the most respected and most revered pro group in America, going into an olympic year ready to roll.

Now they are a shell of what they once were, taking what's left of them and seeking cover in Eugene.

Anyone worth their salt should leave that group. and a certain someone needs to come clean if she wants to do anything good for the sport she claims to care so much about.

Is BTC going to $0?

Vanessa Fraser recently worked out with them and posted about "riding on the BTC train again." It was her and TWO other runners. The video is of the "BTC train" only two years ago. Quite a difference.
