17-year-old Rhode Island HS Senior Sophia Gorriaran, youngest of the Whittaker/Willis/Gorriaran female 800 hs trio, already has had quite a December indoor season:
12/3: 4:37.54 mile
12/10: 9:48.19 3k
12/17: 2:02.27 800m
This, coming off a 18:18.2/5k RI state cross country championship win on 11/5.

Not to mention all sorts of great times at 300m, 500m, 600m, and 1000m.
Believe her 800m pr puts her #4 US hs performer all-time behind Willis, Whittaker and Cain.
Lost track of how many U18 and U20 and US hs class records she holds
And, she's a star on her Brown School's lacrosse team.
What distance or even middle distance specialist runs a 60m dash?
What sprinter runs the mile or 3k, not to mention xc?
Here's your #1 hs t&f recruit for the 2022-2023 college season.
As yet, uncommitted . . .
