I’m guessing Centro ran a 1000 and a 500 or a 600.

Trying the same thing and hoping nobody notices.

Honestly: results or GTFO. He ran a 404 mile while in Hawaii. I'm not buying the hype.

Let's think which is more likely?

1. He ran a monster workout that indicates the best shape of his life

2. His friend is trying to start clickbait

Except that Centro just ran a 4:04 mile and was absolutely shellacked by a bunch of guys.

full rest

4:04 mile,

800m in 1:54

medium rest

400m in 51

MASSIVE.

He clearly in heavy training block, he taper for the TT!

Why did Jerry fire Centro?

Yeah he [Centro] posted some IG story with a video of a grinning gorilla and titled in "TT mood" or something to that effect.

the 5K was 6weeks ago, and a single Mile race is never a great indicator of fitness - we see elites every single season be in the shape of their life during the summer and still have a bad 1500/Mile because of how it was paced or whatever, plus add to that it was on the road and not the track..

I'm not sure why I'm defending him because I'm not convinced he's in PR shape or whatever, but saying someone isn't performing just because of a single bad Mile race is lame.

Good to see him getting back in shape again. He adds a dimension to the American track scene that we don't get from others, plus that Olympic Gold.

Racing the mile is literally his job. As such, a mile race is a perfect indicator of fitness. It's a better indicator than a workout of an unspecified time and distance (but trust me he's in great shape according to his friends insta)
