Based on the times looks like it’s way short of 10k. I’m guessing 9600 meters.

I can only imagine the chaos with nearly 300 masters runners spread out all over a 1200 meter dirt track. The leaders probably lapped half the field, and how did they even do the start? Did each team have to line up single file?
