It's great to see that after a spectacular year a major US publication has written a feature on Noah Lyles. It's a very good read.
In it, he talks VERY big, including breaking 100m WR (he reveals he had a dream where he run 9.41 in the Olympic semis).
“Everybody hears me talk about breaking the [world] record in the 200 but I have the same plans for the 100, if not more,” Lyles said. “I think that desire is even stronger because it’s something that I feel I haven’t proven as much of a gift as what I have."
Lyles credits his therapist for calling him out after last year's Olympics where he disapppointed and then was hesitant to go to Pre.
“I was saying, ‘I’m freaking scared (to race Pre),’” Lyles said. “I showed up to a moment that I had been preparing for almost all my career and I wasn’t ready and it didn’t go right. She basically called me a scaredy-cat; that’s the nice way of putting it."
