Edwin looked great yesterday but was wondering if/when he became a US citizen? Or is he still Kenyan and running for the AMERICAN Distance Project?

Not American as far as I know, haven't seen him compete in any USATF races.
Was that course yesterday really tough? A lot of really fast people were only running in the 24's and some not even under 25.

Yea
So you don’t have to be American to run for the American Distance Project?

It's just a training group name. Someone could start a group in Florida and call themselves the New York Run Squad.
He may very well be trying to get citizenship and represent the US at some point, but so far I do not think he is able to do that.

Good point, someone called themself Atalanta from NY.
course was near 400m long I think.. alicia monsons strava had it at 5.2 miles + based on splits the 5th loop was longer as they probably sped up with a kick and the 5th split was easily the most time wise.. Men were consistently splitting ~4:35 for the first 4 laps which I'm pretty sure were mile splits.
Makes sense.
AMERICAN DISTANCE PROJECT. Resurrecting American Distance Running, one Kenyan at a time.

I agree with you. I thought it was a developmental American team.
This was not a US only race.
Only 4 of the top ten were from USA.

Kurgat is not an American citizen and was only representing ADP for the purpose of this meet for whatever reason. Still training in Ames according to an interview.
