As an Outside reader, I saw this women is getting some press a few days ago.
I wanted to see if she was still going. I see nothing on it live. No twitter updates, etc. How do we know it's legit?
I finally found something on a rarely updated instagram that links to a strava page that is private.
Suspect or legit?

Who knows, but in 2022 if you are doing one of these types of runs and don't have a digital record of it....dunno...seems odd.

If mainstream media has plans to promote this woman i hope they get valid proof of her claim. No proof then no story.
Saw this thread as she's now getting some media attention. Appears to have deleted her Strava account entirely and digital evidence of her runs seems to be limited to sporadic Garmin screenshots on Facebook. Not impossible that she did run them, but it is odd.

Always funny how that works. She probably ran a bunch of these Marathon distances before she got injured and had to fake it because the pressure was too big. Not sure what kind of ultraraces she ran before that. You need a certain kind of experience to pull off things like this.

No need to delete her Strava account if she's legit.
She is legit. She was running in remote parts of Australia and started getting stalked hence the Strava going on private. She’s submitting it for a world record so has all the required evidence which has been submitted daily since she started
She was interviewed on the Inside Running Podcast recently, brilliant interview if you’d like to listen and was a legit runner before starting any of this
A couple women ran the marathon distance 106 days in a row this year to set the Guinness record.
A guy, @malachiobrien , is currently at like 101, having broken the Guinness men's record of 61. Some guy did 500+, but didn't get it Guinness certified.
An Australian, Gary McKee , did 26.2 every day last year, 365 streak, but not Guinness certified.
@runcandice is up to 72 days in a row running 50k.
Maybe a 32 year-old woman doesn't want every random man in the world knowing where she is every day

I followed her for a bit on strava but her account vanished.
She has a solid running history. Marathon pb of 2.50.
She was running around 4 hour pace. Her strava looked legit. Assuming it was removed from public view for safety as previously stated.

I could see this happening with all the sickos that are out there and it is 100% her right to delete or privatize her Strava. But I'm curious as to how you actually know she was "stalked"? Are you just speculating, or do you actually know?
