Looking at the line up, its going to be tough doing it. Only Weini Kelati is capable of pushing or pulling Katelyn Tuohy to a sub 15 performance. Emily Infeld will not be going to the meet as she will go to Sound Running XC Champs.
The race is being paced for 15:00 so Tuohy and Kelati has to grind on the last laps. Can Katelyn Tuohy achieve sub 15 performance in this meet?
I think it is going to be hard going sub 15 with this field and pace.

Tuohy will not break 15 because of those 3 SLOWER runners getting in the way and I would distance myself from Natalie Cook, runners will get spiked by her because of her form.
Historically, Touhy does not need the perfect race. If the rabbit and the field/Kelati can get her to 3000/3200 on pace, Touhy can close from there on her own.
Her current prs of 15:14 and 4:06 were solo efforts, and the HS 15:37 was the ultimate solo effort, as no HS stars were entered and she lapped the entire field.
She is in better shape now than for her prs, so while I don't expect any crazy time, I believe she will be right around 15, and she will pull the field, particularly the college women to some great pr's.

I hope Kelati runs, that is very exciting. We were discussing on another thread, only 6(?) Women have gone sub 15 on that track since 2017. Hope she can get there!
If Tuohy wants to break 15, she will have to lead the race after the pacer drops, Kelati barely broke 15 and does not have a better kick than Tuohy. NC State is bad at getting Tuohy into fast meets, her prs are all solo efforts, never got pulled by a faster runner. They should have sent her to the Boston February meet that Parker Valby and Bowerman Track Club are attending. Tuohy will surely break 15 there.

Tuohy will barely break 15:10. It's set up more as a race than a time trial. Too many other fast women ahead of her.
So sub 15 is basically guaranteed.

NC State and Katelyn Tuohy are not going to races that haven’t already been scheduled on their calendar.
Team schedules were probably finalized well before xc regionals.
There’s more to a teams track and field squad than one star distance runner.

Alabama ,Florida, Florida State,Tennessee all are going to the same meet Valby is going to LOL!
Are they also “connected “ to Bowerman? These teams have that same meet on their schedules.

They seem to be scheduled for the opener,so why would they go to the Hemery? Maybe Tyynismaa/Asekol in the 3000 since they show Olemomoi and Chelangat in the 5000?
