From a post race interview on youtube of Cook she stated she would be in the 5k at BU in a couple weeks. Sounds like it should be another showdown of some speedsters.
. . . I’m ready for my mind to be blown by the magic of the BU track.
Any word on which stars will use that XC fitness to smash a 5k in two weeks? . . .
Looks like another Charlie Hicks special is brewing . . . the BU meet is on Stanford's schedule.
And, for those who remember how good Zofia Dudek was 3 years ago December when she won FootLocker a week after Tuohy won NXN, we could actually see her run her first track race as a collegian . . . possibly in the same race as Tuohy. Not that she'd give Katelyn any competition. Just an interesting scenario, given that in 2019 many/most thought Zofia was the better of the two at the time.

Who in the world thought that Zofia Dudek was better than Tuohy in 2019? Zofia Dudek only had one great race.
She did, but it was pretty impressive, and it came at the same time as Tuohy was not at her best due to the knee, stress, whatever. Recall "1A" and "1B"?

I totally remember that, and it was outrageously ridiculous at the time.
Well, good, this is way easier to get into than Croxss Country wehen there is just regionals, conferences, nationals, Joe Plame, Nuttycombe, and Cowboy Jamboree

We’re not going to see Tuohy & Dudek in the same race in Boston. Tuohy will more than likely be running in the elite race and Dudek has not met the qualifying standard to be in that race. Go up to post #5 that has a link to information about the meet. It specifically states that this year there are elite sections for the 3000 & 5000. The qualifying standard to be in the elite section of the women’s 5000 is 15:20.
That said, Dudek seems to be working through whatever was going on with her and is finding her form. She had a decent XC season and ran well in the NCAA championship. I’m pulling for her and hope she has a decent track season.
I’m also eager to see what McCabe can do if she is back. She is more than likelier looking for redemption after an NCAA XC race that I am sure that she is not happy. I honestly thought she would be in the top 5 and was somewhat surprised with her performance. McCabe did run 8:52.52 at the meet last year so she is qualified for the elite section.
