I had an unfortunate situation the other day where I did not wear something under a pair of running tights, and came home with some unfortunate chafing to the end of Mr. Johnson (I peed blood and didn't enjoy bathroom breaks the next 24 hours).
Typically, going commando under tights has not been a big deal, but I noticed (now) that this particular pair of tights has a crappy design, with a seam running right down the front middle of the fabric. (Thank you, adidas; how come you do this on your "serious" running tights, but my "hang out" running tights don't have the seam?) The chafing was a predictable result when you're an airhead, like I was that day.
Having said that, sometimes I'll throw a touch of lube down there and not have this issue. But, does anyone have some undergarment they would recommend for wearing under tights? (also a bonus for when it's colder) Running shorts are too bulky, and the nice compression halftights I have are a little too much. Appreciate any leads.
