Honestly loved watching Parker fearlessly gap the whole field from the get go. Her kamikaze kind of racing style is super fun to watch. The fact she runs low mileage and cross trains while putting out these insane performances is awesome.
Katelyn ran one of the smartest championship races ever tactically by sticking with the pack but still making a move to cover Parker's lead when sensing the right time to reel her in before the race was over. She was prepared for any scenario. So happy that little hamstring thing didn't stop her today too.
Also putting this in here, Kelsey Chmiel executed her race incredibly as well. She was out with injury in the outdoor season and worked hard during the summer with this race in mind and it paid off massively for her.
Would be interesting if they all end up on a pro team together in the future.
it's not one or the other. it's possible to root for both of them.
with that being said, keep in mind that expressing certain concerns about a certain grown adult coach's past as a pro runner isn't trashing any of the young athletes they coach.
This beef is manufactured. Its a couple weirdo 30 year old men posting under multiple handles and slinging doping accusations at 20 year old women.
About a sport that no one cares about
Ive seen you say this in like a dozen threads now, just shut up please. The irony of coming on a running forum to tell people talking about running that nobody cares about it.
Both ladies ran great today and have promising futures ahead of them. They were also very classy in pre- and post-race interviews.
There aren't really any "Valby fans". I (and others) were shocked at the ridiculous accusations of doping from the crazy Tuohy obsessed weirdos on this board (astro, semihaze, etc). So I felt the need to respond aggressively to shut down those crazy doping accusations. Tuohy fans really need to chill the f--- out. They actually make it hard to root for Tuohy.
As far as the future, Valby has BTC written all over her, and will be living in Eugene by the end of next year. Tuohy, will she follow Elly Hennes to Flagstaff? ON in Boulder? Stay on the East Coast and run with NB? I don't see her on Team Boss, nor with BTC.

Hopefully the false accusations end here.
There are absolutely Valby fans on here lol, why would there be a long thread about how she was going to bury Tuohy by 30 seconds at NCAAs today otherwise?

yea....that goes both ways there Ted.
I dont know that I saw any hatred from either side for the actual athlete. I think it was more fan-ship, which is good as some have pointed out. I liked Valby..for no good reason other than she was not the anointed one and seemed underdoggish. Good enough for me. But yea, Tuohy seems awesome too. So I would never root for her to do poorly. These are two of the least offensive athletes I can think of. I just want to see them go again.
