Washington’s Seattle Academy High School girls’ cross-country team qualified for the state championship thanks to trans student, Aspen Hoffman. Last year, Hoffman was a mediocre cross-country runner on Seattle Academy’s boys’...
I don’t understand. All the leftists on this site and elsewhere tell me that this sort of thing hardly happens, and anyone who brings it up is a bigot. So how dare you print these lies.

You missed the point. It's not about scholarships. It ALREADY took away a win.
It's about both. From OP's link:
Libs of TikTok spoke to several parents of young female athletes in the conference who are understandably upset.
“[The male athlete] is larger than any of the girls, and shamelessly takes 1st place on the podium. Now my daughter is competing against a male for scholarships. And we can’t even say anything. You can’t even approach it in a nice way without being labeled a hateful bigot. You will get threats against you,” said one father.
One of the coaches we spoke with said, “Girls in cross country frequently peak their freshman or sophomore year. They grow “unhelpful” (for running longer and faster) body parts as they mature. It is the very rare (and not at all curvy) girl that keeps getting better all the way through high school. This is why high school teams tend to be younger girl dominated. The opposite is true of boys. They keep getting bigger and stronger — not growing any unhelpful (breasts and hips) body parts.”
Not only do biological males have the advantages of greater lung capacity, bone density, and muscle mass, “our daughters are also going through puberty and developing breasts and hips and having a period every month. [This male athlete] doesn't have any of that and it is also an advantage — apart from his body being different,” noted one parent.
Males that compete in female sports are taking away opportunities specifically meant for girls. “What about [the female] teammate that was bumped off the varsity? These girls are losing their opportunity to not just get to state but maybe earn a scholarship. Schools can only run seven people on varsity. This means when [this male student] joined the girl's team a biological girl got pulled back.”

How the hell is this a left/right issue?
As I said. I have been told that those who bring this up as a negative is a bigot.
This nonsense is beyond comprehension so i dont see any point trying to reason or debate. It is very simple - you refuse to compete. When the gun goes you stand still as a statue on the start line. Only direct action will change anything because the people in charge are too cowardly to make a stand.
This is the desired outcome of the trans acceptance movement. It isn't a big, it is a feature.
I want to be very clear, outside of sport I fully support a transgender person living their life as they're selected gender. They shouldn't be distributed against, they shouldn't be forced to remain their birth sex, nothing like that. It is only in sport that I think athletes should not get to choose their gender.
I don't think it's appropriate to deal with this local issue through a national forum, because this is one person, a minor. Policy changes would be necessary. Don't make it about a minor.

But this is not a local issue. It's a national issue - and an international one. Males are using gender identity claims to muscle in on female sports and previously female-only spaces and services in many countries around the world.
Also, people who object to the new rules that allow males like this HS sophomore in WA to horn in on female sports are not the ones who are exploiting minors like this one by encouraging them to participate in girls' sports and telling them that the only people who matter in these scenarios are the males who want in on female sports and locker rooms.
This minor and many others are being instructed and egged on to engage in this and all sorts of other selfish, anti-social behaviors by the trans lobby, their parents and the other adults in their lives. The gender identity movement is shameless in its exploitation of children, and in the way it encourages youngsters to behave in ways that are bound to cause others to criticize, resent and dislike them.
Kids and adolescents are intentionally being used by trans activists as front-line soldiers in the trans movement's assault on women's and girls' hard-won rights to fairness and safety in sports and other spheres of life. Trans activists want children and adolescents to be in the line of fire because that way they can make martyrs out of them.
The end game of the trans movement is to end all sex separation and segregation in all contexts because gender identity ideologues don't just want to end fairness for girls and women in sports. They also want to make sure that female people no longer can count on having privacy, dignity, safety, comfort, convenience and peace of mind in places outside the home where we are undressed and most vulnerable to male perving and predation - such as locker rooms, showers, toilets, fitting rooms, dorms, shelters, rape and domestic violence refuges, health care facilities, prisons, spaces set aside for breastfeeding mums and longterm care/nursing homes where many elderly women live out their last years.
BTW, I made a point of removed this athlete's name from my post because he's a minor.
That 20 min 5k is clearly going to take a scholarship away from a deserving woman....
You missed the point. It's not about scholarships. It ALREADY took away a win.
2nd place is a win? How many 100k XC runners are there? Obsessing about one mediocre one doesn't seem very productive. Yeah I know you don't like trans people existing. That's your issue...

I understand where you’re coming from, and I think your stand is based on compassion. However philosophically it makes no sense to state that people can decide their own gender, in defiance of biology, and then tell them they cannot compete as their “chosen” gender. Either their “feelings” and “decision” about their gender is right, or it isn’t. To say it isn’t fair for a man to compete against women is truthful, but what we’re really saying is that biological sex matters, that you may claim to be a woman, but your claim is false where it really matters.

The only adjustment I would make to this is saying that that's a lot to put on high school girls who are just getting started figuring life out, but absolutely should've been done at last year's NCAA Women's Swimming Championships.

Accepting transgender individuals as their self-identified gender has been proven to decrease suicide rates. You are literally placing someone's "win" at a sport over another person's life. You literally care more about one person's "right" to win a game over another person's right to live.
