JFC, he's promoting the sport and providing some excitement to kids. You have to be a complete POS to criticize it.
Not really. He's pulling a stunt to profit on his youtube channel.
He's also offering money every now and then to whoever participates/wins his challenges. If he makes a tiny profit for promoting the sport and encouraging people to race, I'm happy.
As long as the HR isn't a lie, that was certainly a hard effort.
Don't believe he didn't have kick though. I think that was a "don't really want the PR of dominating a MS kid after sitting on him" move
Yea watched the video last night and it left me quite confused. He's 38, and he was a 1:43 / Sub 4 guy at his height, but he can't kick off of 6 minute pace on a 3k? I started running at 36, and at 38 there was no way I am losing in an 18 minute 3k park run. I am vastly inferior to Nick, so I think he must have sandbagged the finish. I don't doubt that sub 6 pace got his HR up to 170 though, it looks like he must be 200 pounds right now.

Bad math above, it was 6 minute pace but obviously not 18 minute race, it was shorter than that. Point stands, it was roughly 6 min pace.

It's not just the math that bad.
