Clearly need to just ban woman's volleyball.

A few proven tough woman joining a men’s league is very different than one strong boy joint a female league where not all the girls are tough.

It’s just different than a question of whether girls can choose to play violent sports.

I like how the headline says "lobbed" ball. It's like when people say I went out for a "jog"

And what happens when those not so tough girls come across a DI level talent in the other team? Or when a tough girl plays college level ball? Notice how there isn't a transperson anywhere to trigger you.

This is a little misleading...very women have made Mens professional hockey teams ever, and those mainly as a goalie (where the contact is almost 0).

I'm not saying they can't make it...but virtually never does.

That Cosmo article is so open about trying to portray a "girls rule, boys drool" attitude. She EASILY CRUSHED a boy whose name we'll print! ...then she lost in the next round to a boy whose name we won't print but that was only because she was just sooooooo tired from playing so many matches all in a row -- kill it, queen!

It isn't surprising that a national class, D1-bound girl who is so good that she doesn't bother with high school (girls) tennis anymore because its a waste of her time, can compete with your average high school boys in a non-contact sport that doesn't require you to directly) out-run or out-muscle the opponent.

But take the boy she EASILY CRUSHED at state and make him the only boy playing against high school girls? Would Cosmo sing his, I mean her, praises, talking about how straight-up talented he, I mean she, is? They have to, right? Just another strong, confident female, right? (All females are strong and confident mind you, just some are more strong and confident than others).

She did not “join a men’s league”

She was a professional on a “professional” men hockey team.

You don’t “join” a professional team.

Also, hundreds of girls play hockey on boys teams in HS. Even then. You don’t join the team. You make the team.

Yep - happens quite often in Minnesota high school hockey, to the point that the statewide media doesn't make a big deal of it anymore, though the local media where it's happening might. In almost all cases the girl plays goalie and is bound for D1 or one of the best D3 teams (no D2 in hockey, strangely). Every now and then there will be a girl who plays a skating position, which I'll admit is pretty impressive. I saw one girl play at wing once, and the boys were checking her the same as anyone else, and she was giving it back to them as best she could. Knocked one boy flat on his ass and it sounded like every girl and woman in the audience from both team's supporters let out a high-pitched "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Nothing wrong with that if she can handle it. Any girl/woman should play with the best level of competition that she can make it to, and at some point for the very best female athletes, that's going to mean playing with male opponents.

And NOW, the injured player's school is saying they will forfeit the rest of their games vs. this school.

A LITTLE LATE, don't you think?

If every team and or singular opponent refused to participate against males competing as females, this problem would go away. The only way sporting groups/schools will take action is if it affects profit.

Any male friend or relative that doesn't beat that confused "girl" into the ground should be ashamed of themselves.

A great majority of us were the ones targeted during dodge ball in school. Get over it.

If I am not mistaken, the injured girl was playing a front court position at the time. Instead of trying to block the spike, she stepped back and try to dig the ball. With only one blocker in the middle, the spiker obviously went down the line. This incident could have been avoided if the injured player had tried to block.

BTW, some D1 college players hit as hard as that. Most high school players are probably not used to that. But they could face something like that if they play a team with a top D1 prospect.

Definitely will end forever all co-ed volleyball leagues nation wide.....and maybe all sports in general.

It looks like this single injury has beaten transathlete to the punch and ended all sports as we know them.

No son of mine is competing vs girls and no daughter of mine is taking on boys, it's called......common sense.

Any guy who needs to compete vs the girls has a problem. Identify as anything ya want but you can't compete in female sports.

By the time I was 14ish I could whip all three of my older sisters in a free for all werestling match, that would end up.......mom mom Deno is too rough, which brought, Mom......don't hurt you sisters son.

This whole thing is ridiculous and we all know it, SAFP couldn't place in the Cali State High School boys 100m.

In the NHL it's fair to say they can't. The only time it happened was during an exhibition game and she was nowhere close to nhl caliber. The article the other guy posted is from a 3rd tier finnish league. The girl who played is the top 1 or 2 female player of all time and was in her prime and she couldn't keep up on the 4th line. They are worlds apart and thats just how it is.

One question, Deno-sister-wrestler:

What if your daughter was trans? Where would you want them to compete?

Who in the hell 'wrestles' their older sisters at 14?
