Brooks Adrenaline is the best shoe of all time. Kipchoge should wear them because he clearly overpronates.

62 yes old running about 40 now. To be honest I have always worn whatever was free. I have friends who are sales reps, and I’m not too proud to accept the old samples. I prefer Hokas because at my age and how I kind of slog along when I run I need all the cushion I can get . The Hokas do wear down fast though.
That’s 40 miles per week. Foiled again by autocorrect.
Serious non-elite runner here.
Old Vaporfly 4% (2 pairs), one pair of Next%, Hoka Clifton, Carbon X.
I'm 40, avg 35 mpw right now because of some lower mileage weeks but usually 40-50. Brooks Glycerin and Hoka Clifton for me for most general aerobic and long runs. I'm super basic but it works.
~50 miles a week; late 40’s; marathon 3:12, half 1:29 (both 2022). Hoka Clifton and Nike Invincible for normal days and easy runs. Saucony Speed or Vaporfly for tempo and intervals / track.
Part of a pretty big (big city) run club which skews towards the faster side (I am always in the second to last or last group for tempo workouts). If 40 people turn up for a workout, maybe 4 (10%) are not wearing a super shoe. For regular or easy days, see a lot of Hoka but also Nike (invincible or react) and NB (fresh foam more).
67 y.o. been running for 53 years. Currently running 35-50 mpw. Ran 90 to 100 mpw during college and for several years after (when not injured).
Currently like the Mizuno Wave Shadow 3. Narrow in the heel, wide in the forefoot. Adequate but not excessive cushioning. Excellent forefoot flexibility. Reasonably low drop.
Have also tried the Hoka Clifton and Mach 4 but find that the wide heels don't agree with me. Also prefer a shoe that doesn't put so much between me and the ground.
Planning to buy a pair of the new Mizuno Wave Shadow 5 very soon.
39yr old male, peak mileage is 55mpw in the summer. I’ve gone through a ton of shoes to land on this makeup. It’s multiple pairs but keeps me healthy and I keep getting faster.
Regular day 7:40-7:50 pace New Balance 1080 v12
Tempo day 6:30-45 pace ASICS Magic Speed 2
Speed Days 6:00 (normally run as a ladder) ASICS Magic Speed 1
Race Day 10K and up Meta Speed Edge
Race Day under 10K Magic Speed 2
Personally over the last 10 years I ve used lot of Saucony Triumph, then Hoka Clifton all versions , but now I ve found the Nike ZoomX invincible to be the ultimate training shoe for me. Amazing cushioning and responsivness from the ZoomX foam . Shoe is very durable , and I think is true what they say . Better shoe to stay away from injuries , I use it for slow run , long run but I also can use for tempo run or some threshold work (from3'40/km to 5'/km)
For race day hard to beat Nike next% ,great also adidas adios pro 2, I ve also used over the years 6 different Nike zoom fly and is still an amazing shoe! Hoka Torrent does the job for me in every trail situation.
honestly i think sub elite runners are more acknowledgeable when it comes to running shoes because elite runners wear whatever they are sponsored to. i've trained in many "flagship" neutral running shoe including: pegasus, nimbus, ghost, rider, triumph, and i've worn all of these shoes throughout several iterations of the shoe and my conclusion is that the brooks ghost is consistently the best while the asics nimbus is consistently the worst.
as for track spikes, i really think the dragonfly is overrated for the 1500m. the new balance md-x is better than both nike spikes in 800-1500 (and even the occasional 4x4 if your team requires it), while the dragonfly is better in everything from 3000-10000. there is no reason why anyone should buy the nike air zoom victory. it is outclassed imo.
32 years old, about 140km/week, mostly on dirt road:
Escalante 1.5 (track only)
Razor+ (strides, hills, LSD)
Rebel v2 (tempo, hills)
Evoride2, endorphin shift, freedom 4 (easy runs)
Endorphin speed (key long runs, maybe twice per buildup, also my current marathon race shoe)
