Should we ask that stitch-up Canova to come and explain for the 1000th time why doping in Kenya is just a big conspiracy and these are just the "sh$tty" runners because the best ones have no benefit from it?
LOL, yes. El K will soon come and explain how sub elite and hence irrelevant they are, and that now all bad apples are caught. Then the other drug cheat apologist will come and explain that 58:35 is slow, and that the synthetic nandro and Superdrol were in the beef, and made them even slower, ergo proving that Epo does not work.
Kenya and its athletes were once held in awe by everyone else in the world. They were studied by scientists to find out why they were better. Nothing. Maybe, high bunched calf muscles or a slightly longer lower leg but nothing else stood out. They were ordinary people, achieving extraordinary results. They won nearly everything. The scientists found next to nothing and the Kenyans themselves said that it’s about hard work, eating well, and living at altitude. Observers agreed and found that the simple lifestyle required many, especially in the Rift Valley, to walk or run long distances to school, developing red blood cells at high altitudes for lifelong aerobic fitness. It is indeed a recipe for success. But one piece of the puzzle is missing: desperation.
Simply crazy that there is a thread up now where people here have been arguing for days that Kenyans are winning because of some genetic advantage.
Does Renju deserve a spot in the Kenyan Top Ten list of banned dopers?

This will be fun.
You forgot the part about being led astray by European and American coaches, agents, managers.

What bothers me about these threads is the insinuation by some that any criticism of African runners is de facto evidence of racism on the part of the critics.
