    Go woke, go broke.

    They catered to the woke crowd when a few sponsors threatened to leave unless they changed their name. The thing is, most people didn't find the name to be racist.

    Well, since changing their name, they've lost 16 games at home in a row. That's every single home game since the name change.

    Attendance is way down. They are lucky to get 15,000 fans in their 60,000+ seat stadium.

    Used to draw crowds of 30-40k for home games. Now 15,000 is a good showing.

    Also, most people who weren't football fans supported the name change (the wokesters) while actual football fans saw it differently.

    Consequently, they've lost a lot of season ticket holders and judging from attendance, the new name isn't helping them one bit.

    Oh, I did not mention this is a CFL league record for consecutive home losses. They set the record a few weeks ago and seem likely to continue setting the record.

    Have you actually been to a game or seen the lack of people in the stands on tv? I saw the Eskimos play Sask in August. No way there was more than 15,000 people there.

    And the atmosphere wasn't that great. Loud music playing throughout the game. The CFL product has gone downhill and many seem to think the brand will go extinct in a matter of years.

    Attendance was recorded as 25,000 but if you were there, you knew this wasn't the case.

    The reported attendance is inflated big time! No way you should believe those bogus figures!

    Attendance for Edmonton's CFL team has been declining for years. It had a high of 57k in 1982 and had fallen into the 20s in the 2010s, steadily declining. In 2019, they slashed ticket prices to try to spur attendance but nothing has worked.
