Looks disappointing on the outside but he has barely raced at Stanford. Opened the season with a 25:22, then ran a 25:00 at OSU. This result shows progress and I hope he stays healthy.

This is showing 2 things:
1) How deep Stanford is
2) High school success does not guarantee college success in running
Also, didn’t Brie Oakley disappear too?
And what the heck is going on with Tori Gaitan?
She only ran 1 race this season. And she DNFed there

Or did she burn out like everyone who was ever coached by Doug Soles?
Thoughts and prayers go out to those that are at Herriman now
At least he is passionate about non running related things
Gaitan burned out before HS even ended, didn't race junior year track and was lackluster senior year XC before lockdown.
Anderson still has the talent in him, just unlucky with injury
Only 2 seconds ahead of Zane Bergen (guy who finished 4th at RunningLane )
To have such a positive impact on society, while still training and running at a high level, while studying at one of the world's best schools - all of this takes a lot of dedication and grit, and I think we can all respect this even if his running career hasn't reached the heights his high school performances might've predicted.
