Delhi Half Marathon is this Sunday

i think you put the list in the second post just so the thread didn't finish with zero replies.

still, i prefer this approach to the "two athlete profiles every day" thing.

I thought Kiplimo was supposed to be in this one.

He doesn’t want that Delhi Belly.

It’s just a way to predict the finishing order and it’s been a good year. Very successful choosing winners and big revisions like Belihu going with the GOAT.

Kiplimo made a post on instagram saying he would not be in Delhi. Did not say why, one presumes injury. I half hope that he has just chosen Valencia instead, but don't see that as likely, given that he previously seemed all in with Delhi.

Nice pay day of $27K for each of the winners.

Girmawit G. should win among the ladies. Won RAK in Feb in 64.14. In March won the Ethiopian Champs on the track over 25 laps at altitude in 31.21.5. In May in the Doha DL 3000 was fifth in 8.41.88.

It looks like the WMM's is becoming a "destination" type series. With that, my questions are:

How many 1/2 marathons can a world class runner race in a year?

What if 1/2's were the focus of a Grand Prix type series instead of marathons?

It could help bring attention to the sport at the elite level.
