There are only two guys with a chance to win NXN, and both of their last names are 'Young'. Footlocker is the place to go for anyone who wants to win a national title. Right now I'd say Birnbaum, Burns, Gorze, Hansen, Jones, Sahlman, Mathison and maybe Kipyego all have a shot at footlocker, unfortunately though many of them will not attend because their team will qualify for NXN (Sahlman, Gorze, Mathison)
Yes, considering where he lives is just shy of 4000ft of altitude. When he arrives at those national championships, it will feel like he is able to breathe quite easily. He also has ran 14:47 largely solo, with the exception of the four wheeler leading him.

Aaron Sahlman beat Lex once last year. But not Leo.
Rocky Hansen will take them both down. He already took down Lex in the mille at Runninglane with a 4:00 and yes that's not the young's best event but Rocky will shred them down the final 400 meter no matter the distance. Watch the video clips of Rocky. You can't tell me Lex and Leo would not be afraid of that
If he wants a national title he better find out which national meet the Youngs will be running at and going to the other one.
Nope. He can potentially beat them if he is in the same race. Surely it is possible.
It's possible, but I would still heavily favor the two national level runners that work together perfectly and with a 3rd national level runner who basically acts as their rabbit for the first mile (Sahlman) than the individual national runners with equivalent fitness.
Only way he wins is if he goes out harder than them (~4:30 mile pace first mile) and stays ahead the entire time. If they are in the lead, they'll push and pull the pace with their teamwork
The Champs Sports Midwest XC Championships is on Saturday November 26, 2022. It includes the following events: Girls Championship and Boys Championship.
