I disagree ranking KB so low, but you could make a case for some of that order. Your 4 and 8 are a heck of a lot of recency bias though. No way do they deserve to be in that conversation yet. Coe seems like an odd choice too. Maybe you’re British though, ranking him and Mo in the top 10
Gotta disagree with this. My list is: 1. Kipchoge 2. Bekele 3. Geb 4. El G 5. Tergat (he would be in the overall GOAT conversation if he hadn't been second to Geb his entire track career) 6. Farah 7. Komen (that 2 year stretch is some of the best middle-long distance running ever) 8. Coe/Cram (this makes the list eleven but it's hard to choose one over the other) 9. Cheptegei 10. Saïd Aouita (forgotten great)
Honorable mentions include Kiprop, Morceli, and Paavo Nurmi
“A 53.87 last lap which produced a 2:25.30 last 1k. Yes, the last kilometer was 2:25.30. The last 1,600m? 3:57.01. That's a sub-3:59 last mile, folks. The last 2k of 4:56.97 and last 3k of 7:35.53”
I’m in my mid 30s and watched Bekele do that. Honestly, no where near as impressive as Farahs 2015 WC 5000m in sub 2:20 last 1000m and 1:48.6 last 800 meters. He simply wouldn’t lose to Bekele in a 5000 meter race.
Yes coming off of a 10,000 meter title and to Ingerbritsen who is not really a 1500 runner. I think Jakob will ultimately be a better 5k runner than 1500m.
Cheptegei is considerably faster than Bekele in the 5/10 and is well on his way to accumulating the track championship hardware.
It might be best if you never post here again after that statement. JC ran 6.53 seconds faster than KB at 10000m and 1.99 seconds faster at 5000m with wave lights and super spikes. JC will NEVER be close to KB in track championship medals. KB would have defeated JC in championship races 9/10 times.
Chep was completely owned by a 1500 runner in this year´s WC.

So what? When Kenenisa lost to Hicham, KB was coming off a 10000m title every time.
