And yeah OP I recently blogged on here about how I'm legitimately terrified of nuclear war and while many commenters shared my sentiments, there were a lot of nihilists telling me to stop worrying and accept my fate. I know they were trying to be helpful but honestly that's insane to me. And I'm worried the cabal that runs this country thinks the same way. Some people said "you can't control it." I thought this was a "democracy" but I guess not. Sorry for rambling but I'm just really passionate about this.

Putin’s speech was strong and direct. He has declared the Anglo-west an evil enemy of Russia. Either the Anglo-west backs down and stops blocking negotiations in Ukraine and stops meddling or things will get very serious there. This is very bad for the poor Ukrainians who will be slaughtered. And once Ukraine is flat, what will Biden and the CIA do? Blow up more Russian pipelines? Worse?

I'm neither retired, or a boomer, nor able to stop WW3. I'm going to enjoy what I can control, and you can freak out if you want. Have a nice weekend.

Koko, some of us old farts have children and grandchildren, we don't want them to die in a world war and we're not being cavalier about this prospects of a war.
Some of us boomers also fought in wars (not me) and understand the severity of conflicts.
