Cowboy Jamboree videos on Youtube were both interesting to follow and the Oklahoma course looks very well laid out and difficult. Isn't Natalie Cook the runner whose form was painful to watch in high school with her feet sort of going to the side as she kicked back? Her form this weekend looked very, very different.
yeah she was the one. i noticed the same thing and i honestly think now that her form is fixed, she will be unstoppable. her injuries last year were because of her form was bad, and now that it’s fixed and she’s STILL winning… geez louise. she’s a force to be reckoned with.
I hope this is all sarcasm? Listen I was never a Tuohy hater as I have been accused of, but I thought her slow decline year after year in HS pointed to her not getting better than she was her Sophomore year (her best year). However, it came out in college that she was dealing with knee issues in HS which lead to her knee surgery. I don’t know how anyone can not respect her for battling through the physical and most importantly the mental issues and now she is even better than she was in HS. I think many of you are on the Cook train, and I’m not saying being a fan is bad at all, but if I’m placing a bet on Cook or Tuohy…….Tuohy is the safer bet. She is the best runner in the NCAA right now. Orton and Wayment are gone, so she is clearly the one to beat this year in all 3 seasons. So get ready to be disappointed! You will see the future this Friday when she wins at ND!
How so? Look at 14:00 or 20:00 or any head on view, her form is the same. You cant "correct" tibial valgum without surgery for the most part. She runs that way because thats the way her legs are shaped. I dont see any difference.

You're 100% wrong. Natalie Cook's form hasn't changed at all.

Exactly right. Being knock kneed is not a “form” issue. It’s anatomical. Maybe her arm carriage is better. That’s about it.

Agree. I don’t see any massive change in her form. Maybe it’ll never be an issue, but time will tell if it’s a detriment to her career. Obviously a huge talent.
Any examples of any elites with this form? I know there are a number (Radcliffe, etc) who were labeled to have poor mechanics but had big pro careers.

Jemima Sumgong wants you to know that this topic is played out.
I hope Katelyn Tuohy sees what Natalie Cook fans are saying.
Tuohy doesnt give a rip what some nobodies on letsrun say. shes smarter than that. her desire to win doesnt come from fake outrage stirred up by internet trolls.
