ESPN has reported generally what he did to violate team policies. The Celtics aren't a bonehead operation like the Knicks, they aren't going to let Zeke v2 slide.

My understanding is that he had a consensual relationship with a female member of the organization. This is absurd. Sarver, the owner of the Suns, spent roughly 17 years abusing his power and was suspended a year. Udoka had a consensual relationship and was suspended a year. He has got to appeal this suspension. That is wildly out of proportion unless some key information is missing.

So then fire him if it is so egregious.

The other thing is that he's been with Nia MF Long for 12 years, and his cheating on her going public is probably going to be the end of that.

This might be the first significant step towards firing. Intimate relationships between staffers who aren't already married just isn't going to fly in pro sports today. Yeah, Jeanie Buss and Phil Jackson was very public (and certainly odd), but they weren't committed to anyone else and they were upfront about it with their organization. Udoka was caught sneaking around. Yeah, poor guy. Nia Long could bring the receipts or the unknown staffer could certainly have claimed differently. Udoka made decisions that could easily have put the team in a very bad light. In short: he shat where he eats. These leagues and teams lose major business sponsorships and advertiser support over image issues, no matter who else disagrees with or dislikes that. They have a bottom line to watch and it isn't at all about getting agreement from a slim proportion of online chat outrage queens.

The quality of the product today is a separate issue.

If he was 8n a position of authority over the person he had an affair with it doesn't matter if it was consensual. The the other person was married to another member of staff or a player it doesn't matter if it was consensual.
