Although thinking clearly and analyzing rigorously have never been Ackbar’s strong suits (there was slavery in Africa long before the New World slave trade even started, and there remains such African slavery long after the New World trade ended), he is right to raise the issue.
It has been maybe 10 years or so since I detailed on here the Eugene 13 — that is, the magic 0.13s Eugene advantage in a top men’s 100m race. Same thing, PB’s all over the place. For whatever reason, I can’t find the thread, it may have been the 2011 race, I don’t remember.
I haven’t considered this hurdles race carefully, but the results are sufficient to arouse suspicion and a hard look. Has anybody analyzed the quality of the video evidence, or done a review of the performance histories of the individual athletes in the race?
