The real disadvantage isn't the birth, it is the time and energy drain over the next 5 to 6 years. Both parents feel that equally. Getting up at all hours of the night, the never ending attention it takes.

Being a mom is no more work than being a dad.

Is the dad up breastfeeding at all hours of the night? No.
is the dads body continuously making milk the first year of said child’s life? No.
will the kids daycare or school call dad first? More than likely not. They will call mom first.
