Why do the British "royals" all wear military uniforms?

If they weren't the only major Royal Monarchy left in the world, I'd agree with you.

As an American I like watching this Royal Pageantry. For one, it makes me glad we don't do that sort of thing over here.

For two, I think it is some kind of important to try keeping something alive thats been around for 1,000 years or so.

Some people want an end to the Crown for their own reasons. Many of their points are valid.

I don't wan't to be political. I just like the history of the way they lived and what their ceremonies were like.
