Here's the deal:
-I run my track intervals and speed workouts in trainers (Hoka Speedgoat, Adi Boston 10, New Balance 380) I am one of two members of my local club who trains in these.
-My teammates do the same workouts in super shoes (Next %, Adios Pro, Brooks Carbon X, Endorphin Pro 2)
-I consistently run splits* 5-10 seconds slower per mile than the average team member who wears super shoes.
Could this time difference be a result of shoe technology, or simply just superior fitness?
*Ex. I run mile repeats around 4:50 while other teammates run 4:40-45
