Congratulations to them!
Now NBC will be able to talk about how she grew up on a farm AND how she’s a mom.

A mother farmer if I've ever seen one.

Timing-wise, she was already pregnant at the World Championships this past July.
Not necessarily. Could have happened immediately after. It does make sense why she seeming shut her summer season down. Wishing her the best, but it does open up a spot on the 1500m team next year seeing as she probably won’t be in top shape nor want to leave a new born that is months old

Her post says early March, unless she is expecting a premature baby, she was pregnant at worlds.
Congrats abs I’m happy for her… but I do also wonder if this is the end of her professional running career. She has always seem to be more about a simple life and family/farming/stable life and not one of travel and the hectic schedule.

Good timing on her part. Now when her kid is older, they'll be able to say they raced at WCs. Bonus question: who else has raced at worlds while pregnant?
Wasn't there to race, but...
Heh, heh, time will tell!
She literally could have been a few weeks a long and very well didn’t even know . Math isnt that hard to back tract. Early March for a due date isn’t a definite date. REGARDLESS, congrats to her and her husband

Actually due dates for pregnancy are based on a 40 week gestational period not 9 months, so she would have been pregnant at worlds as the previous poster correctly pointed out
You must be a dude lol. Her due date is beginning of March which would mean she was 7-8 weeks at Worlds. Pregnancy due dates are 40 weeks and calculated from the start of your last period. Believe me, she was 8 weeks.
