Then you don’t have much of an imagination. Predicting his 2023 based off his 2022 would make as much sense as predicting his 2022 based off 2021. It give some indication but a lot can go right or wrong
The Goose looked cautious in his first overseas race but had a lot left. He made up 20 meters on everyone on the last straight and won going away. Don't know how many more races he will run in Europe but it would be nice to see how he responds in a 3:30-3:32 race.

I noticed from the world athletics profile of this Dutch boy that his 800 m best time has not been updated, unless I’m mistaken. Didn’t he run 146 and change?
17 years young Niels Laros: My bad I must be confusing his time with someone else? Sorry! he has a best time this season of 1:50.46, achieved in his home country. That puts him 10th on the world under 18 list so far this season. Even entertaining the thought of him running in 146 is unrealistic! apologies for this silly thinking. Jakob was all out to run 146 this season. Puts things into perspective.
Laros, Double correction correct, I do see that he has a 1:46.3/800 from Oordegem, Belgium, achieved last week August 23, 2022 but the time is not considered legal. Why?

Niels Laros (1:46/age 17): Yet on his Instagram page he displays his best time for 800 at 1:46.00 - this is all very confusing! sorry I haven’t been keeping up with the trends but can someone explain why his time of 146 is not considered legal? thank you!
I think there was a malfunction with the electronic timing equipment, so this is manual time, clocked by officials. The Beĺgian meest often have a full bench of times available during their meets.
Btw Laros beat Ingebrigtsen's age group tekort.
Btw his dad Marcel Laros was a damn good steeplechaser, missed the Oly by .13 sec, because the Dutch OC set the Standard wat harder than the IOC. His mum Sandra Hofmans was also an inational champion athlete competing for the Netherlands

Ok I understand the problem with manual timing but based on this could you let us know what you think his time would have converted to electronically from that manual timing at 1:46.3? Are you Dutch or Belgian (Flanders), in any case welcome here. Thank you.
If what you say is true about the non-functioning electronic timing in the Belgian athletics meeting in Oordegem, and we have no reason to doubt it, then the young Dutch boy, N.L., was really robbed of a world-class time, 1:46.3. the meeting in Belgium does not even feature on the world athletics website! Can someone provide a link to the results with thanks. The meeting was on August 23, 2022.

Laros: His 1:46.3 would put him second on the world under 18 list behind one Ethiopian who has a 1:44.36.

Wow…. Missing the Olympics by 0.13 in the steeplechase (when you actually have the Olympic standard). That must have eaten at him for years. What could he do then?

Americans never like to see what's right in front of them, bit like Shelby when the rest of the world could see the obvious.
Not an American, but what are you on about, Birkoboy? You personally tested Cole, did you?
Obviously not.
My point is is had an 11 second magic improvement last year, and only had 1 test all year, that we know about, now suddenly the AIU are allowed to test him and he has gone backwards, never mind anything else.
All sounds a lot like Shelby the way the Americans can't have a bad word said about him.

Are you missing the part that pre-injury, he finished 5th in a DL (3:50), ran PBs in the 3K indoors and 5K outdoors (13:08) and won two indoor American titles?
Your testing hypothesis makes a lot less sense than the getting injured one.
