I believe in fiscal responsibility and a reasonable social safety net. I do NOT believe in huge handouts to the able bodied. It is a huge mistake. Moral hazard is not a concern of yours?

Apparently there is something special about the people who currently have student loan debt where they are to be especially favored. It makes no sense.

There's fine print. The proposal is to cancel $10000 of student loans for selected individuals. This will be like Obama-Biden Plan to rescue certain selected homeowners during 2009 recession. The goal was to actually slow down foreclosures, 2009 to 2010, to not have the foreclosures all occur within 90 days thus causing a great depression. 2009 & 2010, homeowners were encouraged to apply for this or that refinance program. While applying for this or that refinancing program, sheriff deputies eventually threw home owners out onto the street. It just spread out the pain. There is NO WAY Biden will forgive $10000 of student loans to everyone. A few million will apply for program and only a few thousand will actually get this benefit.

You are likely incorrect. The only caveat is your income must be like below $125,000.
Yeah, its really disappointing that Biden felt the need to do this, and there is probably more to come. This is an absolute bogus idea that is nothing more than paying for votes, provides a windfall to some, and screws others for being financially responsible and working hard.
It does make it more difficult to vote for Biden, even if he runs against Trump. I wish Biden realized that the only reason he got several million key votes (independents, never-Trump-GOPs, etc.) was because his opponent is one of the worst people in America, NOT because key voters wanted BS like student loan forgiveness.
Loan forgiveness is very much a Democratic position to hold, so you are clearly a non-Democrat trolling here. Loan indebtedness is at a staggering level, and is an enormous problem both individually and collectively, the kind of thing that crashes people's futures and can even crash the economy, given just how big it is. College has become too expensive and should instead (public college) be heavily subsidized, as in Europe, because it is fundamental to our economy and to the success of individuals--even longevity. Free public college should be next. You think this harms those who paid their loans. I paid my loans and I don't object to this program in any way. It helps everyone by aiding the economy. Frankly, the level of debt only served the interests of banks and credit card companies. Try raising a family when college debt takes up much of your salary.
