Seymour ran a 4:11/8:59 last spring.

Did the writer get confirmation that he is going there or did he just assume that he is going there based on seeing him train with them at Big Bear in Lex/Leo videos?

With him going to Newbury Park and Hector Martinez healthy we might see some things that never happened before.

NP could go 1-7 at the state meet if their 4-7 (Seymour/Doshi/Cantu/Martinez) all stick together and make sure they beat everyone from other teams in D2. They are in D2 now. But they won’t go 1-7 in the merge because Caudillo is better than NP’s #4.

NP could have 7 under 15 at state.

NP could have 7 under 9 minutes next spring.

Could Seymour go sub-4 in the mile or is that too much of a stretch?

Will be very curious to see how much he improves in that kind of environment. Idk anything about his training/training partners, but have to imagine as an 8:59 guy he was probably running most workout alone.

I would imagine Dev Doshi (at least) doing workouts with him. He ran a 9:02 once. He’s been making big jumps. I wonder if he will become top 10 in the nation without having training partners like Lex and Leo.

I think the top 7 of NP will be in this order

1/2- Lex/Leo

3-Sahlman

4-Seymour

5-Doshi

6-Cantu

7-Martinez if he even runs this season

Here, I am speaking of fall 2023. He’s probably gonna be training by himself that year since he will be the only nonsenior in the top 7 unless Martinez doesn’t race

I see Doshi ahead of Seymour.

They have similar 2 mile PB. However Seymour has way more speed. So Doshi is probably stronger over 5000m

This video doesn’t show so. What it does show is that Seymour should have been closer to lex / leo than he was at Clovis

Also shows that cantu should have been closer to doshi than he was
