Also surprised if she beats McColgan, but Eilish has raced 3 x 5000m and 2 x 10000m in the same time span that Klosterhalfen has raced one 5000m and one 3000m. KK should be way fresher but even still doubt it will be enough.
Athletics Weekly preview has her winning the 5/ 10 double v McColgan, Can, Grovdal in both plus both Judd and Salpeter in the 10
I'd be stunned if she beat Grovdal.

but Eilish likes to race a lot. She thrives on it.
Think the 10k might just be kind of a tune up for the 5k. Don't think she'll throw everything into her "weaker" distance and risk losing the chance at a medal in the 5k due to fatigue. But if the opportunity to yoink a medal in the 10k emerges, she'll probably try and take it, depending on how she's feeling.
14:37 SB...seems plenty race-fit. Good enough to medal? Different question.
It is plenty race fit, but that was in Oslo the month before worlds and she couldn't make it into the final in Eugene (and wasnt super close either). Then she had a solid 3000 pretty soon after. It's hard to track her form right now.
