Not everyone can handle Diljeet’s coaching style.
Yeah seriously….BYU would have been so good with her. Ok, Hutchins better be healthy now or this team is toast
I mean have you seen the videos of coach Taylor throwing Wayment so that the cameras would focus on her instead?
The workout Wednesday’s between NC State and BYU are like night and day.
Laurie Henes is so much more calm and less obnoxious.
BYU is a very different place. Could be any of several different reasons why someone doesn't fit. There is usually a good freshman every year not from Utah who transfers out.
As for Hutchins she made an end of school year post saying how happy she is with the team and the "absolute best coach" and included a super slow motion video of her running form. She appears to be healthy, happy and ready to go.
Alright…. So BYU is looking to have another really good season. good luck to Hutchins and BYU
A lot of talk about Dijeet and some of the abuse that goes along with her training and shaming issues. Yes, we've all seen the videos of her brining her own camera crew to races following her around and her bossing them around to get her good camera angles. It's all too weird.
She’s extremely easy to root for. Great athlete and person.
Utah State’s gain.

What??
This is the first I’ve heard about Diljeet being abusive and body shaming.
She’s annoying and obnoxious but I highly doubt she’s actually abusive.
None of her athletes have said anything about this.
I wouldn't say she's abusive. She definitely displays great mental/psychological influence with her athletes. It works.

This is rampant at BYU. Not just in athletics but university wide. Students don't question those in authority. Everyone conforms. It comes from their upbringing. I liked my time at "the Y" but it is a very different place.

Kind of reminds me of a certain former Cali hs coach
Have you noticed that essentially ALL of BYU's success the past few years has been with athletes that THE PREVIOUS COACH recruited? Now that all of those athletes have finally graduated (after 6-7 years) it's only Diljeets athletes and the team is looking much WEAKER.
Aside from Wayment, at NCAAs they had 1 in the 800 (18th out of 24), 1 in the 10k (2nd to last place) and one additional in the steeplechase (2nd to last place).
Compare that to NC State who had 2 in the 1500, 5 in the 5k (1st place, 9th, 10th, and 11th), and 2 in the 10k (Hays in 5th).
I imagine BYU is a difficult place to be if you aren't deep, deep into LDS.
Jenna Hutchins isn’t LDS/Mormon.
Did you notice that NC state has nothing but distance runners on the team? They should be able to do that when all the scholarship money is going to distance. BYU women still outscored NC State indoors and outdoors. NC State scores next to no points without Kaitlyn Tuohy, who was the best women's distance recruit ever.
The old coach never coached Wayment, Orton, or Camp. Hutchins, Chamberlain, and Rohatinsky will be a very good recruiting class.
Jim McMahon did okay.
Way too much punctuation
