Opening weekend of the English Premier League as well. ⚽️
Upper Mugwump vs Frump-on-Sewar.
I’m sure been asked some where but on off chance someone sees this.. how can we watch commie games 1500 final here in USA
On my Birmingham to watch the athletics this morning. Hopefully the 1500 will deliver a great race
The Polish DL should be a good one. It's the first ever DL in Poland which supports track and xc so well.
10 am -12 noon ET if you are in the Us (CNBC and Peacock). 4-6 in Poland. I started my own thread on the Polish DL but figure we should just have one live thread for the whole day as the CG men's 1500 is at 9:10 am ET. So I've merged my thread with Weldon's.
Timetable
Meet Preview:
CWGs has three distance finals that have fields that are worthy of a DL - notable because the fields haven't been great so far.
Men's 1500 - Wightman, Gourley, Kerr, Kipsang, Cheruiyot, Hoare, Heyward
Women's 800 - Hodgkinson, Moraa, Muir, Bell, Nakaayi, Goule
Men's 5000 - Krop, Kimeli, Kiplimo, Kemboi, Scott, Beamish, Dever, Ramsden (ok, this field is a little weaker than the other two, but it's still good)
1500 WR attempt by Tsegay? Not sure how much to trust the pacer targets on the start lists, but they have them shooting for 1:30 at 600 and 2:32-2:33 at 1000. 3:50 pace is 2:33.3 through 1000.
Decent crowd but was hoping for more. Didn't they make all tix available for free. V cool stadium.
top two 800 meters runner not running
Who do we like for the women's 800m? Keely has to be favourite. Home advantage, for a start. I wonder if Laura Muir could spring a surprise? If she could produce a 1min 56sec performance like in last year's Monaco Diamond League, who knows.
Chris Dennis & Hannah England doing commentary. Weather is good. Dos Santos up first.
Hurta & the Wilson sisters up in W 800. Rogers a no show.
Hurta did most of the work, but Ajee's experience took it. 1:58.
Ajee doesn’t look pleased lol
is there a live feed for Birmingham?
For future reference Rojo, not a good idea combining threads for different meets. Blake the young'in, Blake the elder, Bromell, Coleman, Bracy, Simbine,....all up in DL M 100
Bromell over Bracy
Monson 8:41 for 4th, solid result, last three laps, 69, 66, and ?...around 62/63?? winner was 60
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
