This meet is loaded. Essentially a NXR preview. Most of the best teams from Indiana and Illinois. A few nationally ranked. Looks like Mason, Springboro, and St. Xavier will be representing Ohio.
Maybe we’ll finally see the full St. Xavier team run? Will be interesting to see how Ohio stacks up against the rest of the Midwest.

As a girls' team Olmsted Falls is young but they will be there and Katie Clute will be able to match up against some of the best in the Midwest.
Minnesota is part of the Heartland for NXN but it is clealy a Midwestern State. I did not see any of the big Minnesota teams registered like Wayzata, Minnetonka, Lakeville North, etc. No Liberty North of Missouri either.
We will get a rematch of Mason & Rock Bridge of Missouri. Mason beat Rockbridge 62-83 at the Mason Invite. Seeing them square off on a neutral course will be interesting. Also, Schachleiter of Mason defeated Hauser of Rockbridge by 10 seconds.
Hopefully St. X has their full complement of runners. They are a bit of a question mark and a mystery right now. Many don't have a good grasp of what they have because they really haven't had all their pieces at any one meet.

It seems to me that Mason is the only Ohio team that has any kind of shot to make NXN this year. But they will need Neuberger to be 100% for that to possibly happen.
I think Mas. Jackson is probably the second best team in Ohio at this point, although I'm keeping Tol. St. Francis in third. Medina was probably ranked a bit too high but in a state-meet setting their pack might see them place ahead of some higher-ranked teams. Chardon enters my top-10 this week (replacing Solon, who they beat) but is probably a year away from really being among the elite teams in the state.
I noticed that you put Lancaster ranked number 4, but at the Bob Reall invitational Dublin Coffman was very close behind Lancaster. I just want to know what your thought process was behind not including them in the top 10? I am not saying they should be top 10, but I think if Lancaster is number 4, Dublin Coffman should be at least decently close behind them.

you dont know anything. I have inside information that weston actually ran 100 miles last week and is now down to 95 pounds. He is winning the state meet easily. Mr Schlabig knows what he´s doing.

Easy, Lancaster's #5 ran 16:21, Coffman's ran 16:54. In this meet it was 8 points, in the state meet it could be 30 points or more. All 5 Lancaster runners came in ahead of Coffman's #3. It's the same issue Westerville North has, two elite runners but not enough depth.

Wait. Don’t they have their home meet this week?
Yeah, you're right. The St X invite is this upcoming weekend.
As odd as it sounds, St. X doesn't always run their top team at their own invitational. They could be sending their top team to Nike Town in Indiana or splitting the team up again. You would think with the caliber of meet that is in Indiana that they would be sending the best of their best. There is also the Les Eisenhart meet at Thomas Worthington the following weekend and that is usually a top event. St X has the GCL the week after Eisenhart and again, as odd as it sounds, they rarely have their top team in the league championship. They usually don't need the top team to win the league especially since LaSalle has been down. I would just like all the top guys race together to get a good grasp of how good they are.
There are some other big meets this weekend. It could be the best weekend yet and the temps should be good. It also looks like the hurricane remnants will not be affecting Ohio and the midwest.
The McQuaid Invitational in Rochester, NY is usually a big deal. There are usually some Ohio teams there. Beavercreek has run there and Savannah Roark won in 2019.
Stark County Championships are at Glen Oak. Stark County more often than not has some talented teams and individuals.
The tough Woodridge CVNP Invitational. Many teams bag out on this event because the course is so brutal. There will still be a lot of team mostly from the Akron & Cleveland area and it will be a good event. To give you an idea of how hard the course is, Bridget Franek has the record for girls at about 19:10. She was an all-American at Penn St and an Olympic steeplechaser. Michael Brajdic has the record for guys at somewhere around 16:30. Andrew Jordan ran at CVNP a few times and did not beat Brajdic's record. In most years only about 10 to 15 guys crack 18:00, sometimes less. 2020 was a big meet and that was the year that Woodridge probably had the best team in Ohio in all divisions. Mason and St Iggy were there and Woodridge beat both of them. Woodridge's 5 were in the top 15. Mason only had two guys under 18:00 and Isaac Schachleiter was one of them. He was somewhere around 17:20, IIRC.
Live in the Lou is at Tom Sawyer state park in Louisville, KY. This is not as big for HS as it has been and I have not heard of any specific Ohio HS teams attending. There may be a few. It seems to be primarily a college meet now and teams that are going to be on that course for their NCAA regional meet like to run there.
Centerville's Saturday Night Lights meet. Again there are a lot of good teams and runners from all over the state and a few from out of state. It will be another big meet. Here are the entries:
