I think a 2019 sifan hassan or 2015 genzebe dibaba (on the right day) could get close to 1200.
That being said i also would have thought kipyegon could be as a poster mentioned above shes gone for the 1000 record in the passed and been unable to hit it, which doesnt bode well. Perhaps i am giving the other two too much credit
Now that i think about it, i wouldnt be surprised to see Mu hit 1100 or so. But having been there at millrose, dont think she could go much further without significantly slowing down

I would expect a 3:50 runner to be in that 1100-1150 range. In HS we had a 1:55/2:28/408mile kid run a 3:03 1200 and the 1200 was a bit early in the season (he ran a 4:12 1600 the week before) I expect the top woman are close to that. If the 1000 was a regular event I would t be shocked to see them running 2:28s regularly. It isn't like the run 3:52s every day. On that day her effort was a 3:54 type one. Run it a dozen times and we will see that one that is a couple seconds faster.

Agreed, I believe Kipyegon (and 2019 Hassan and 2015 doped up Dibaba) could break Masterkova’s 2:28.98 1k WR on the right day.
A woman could run (slightly) faster than 3:03 for 1200 though. I think all the evidence I need is in Hassan’s Doha 1500 final: after an opening 200 of 32.93, she ran the 1200m from 200-1400 in 3:03.34 before slowing to 15.68 for the final 100 with the race well in hand.
I think the 1K WR could be about a second quicker, the 1200 WR if there was such a thing would be ~3:01.low, and that 1120m in 2:48.00 is approximately the max distance a woman could run at 60” pace, to this point.
