I think Faith Kipyegon presumably going for the World Record
W1500 could be good with Kipyegon confirmed. She ran 3:51 here last year, maybe the WR this year?
Femke Bol (and her fans) in TEARS right now.
It's over, she won't even get her mickey mouse trophy anymore.
Very nice fields across the board. The men's 200 looks amazing, top four from World's plus Norman. Looking forward to this meet
Biggest shock among the entries is that Jerry has allowed a few of his athletes including Fisher to leave the nest and run in an actual race
What else would they do for the rest of the year? Might as well race the DLs where they can then take a break before winter base training. I doubt any of them have World XC on the calendar
Few of last year’s collegians in there. Jefferson in the 100. Wayment in the steeple, Fanbulleh in the stacked 200 Allison in the 400 and Abdihamid Nur in the 3k. Glad to see some bowerman people. Wonder what Grant will run and if he can go sub 7:30.
Awesome to see Lobalu in the 3,000 as well.
oops Allison is doing Silesia not Monaco
No Jakob in the 3000 is a big disappointment. Sowinski, Hoppel, and Clayton Murphy in the 1000, lol. Think any will break 2:20?? Murphy probably getting coach plane ticket to Paris and a bus ticket Monaco, no appearance fee.
Yes, assuming he is reticent considering the double he will do at European Champs (presumably). In normal circumstances, he'd definitely be racing it.
The Men’s 200 should be really good. I wonder if Lyles can dip under 19.50. I don’t see him getting 19.31 again, but it is a one off race with no rounds…
Also, glad to see Norman running the 200 again. This will be the first time he matches up against the top tier 200 guys. I would like to see Josephus dip below his 19.93 PB, but I don’t know if he gets a good lane draw due to all of the bigger names here. I think with less pressure Erriyon will perform better here too. Maybe he gets close to his PB time?
How did Josh Thompson get into a Diamond league?
How many of them will drop out? Never get too excited for a DL startlist until the gun goes off.
He made a World Final.
There's also a chance that other non-Diamond League events will be added.
I'm interested to see how Gabby Thomas does in the 400 - she's racing the 200 a few days earlier in Silesia.
Quite a disappointment that Hassan and Tsegay are both running Silesia (3000) instead of Monaco - although there isn't a longer distance race. Kipyegon obviously usually wins pretty handily, but wonder if she will be able to go below 3:50 without anyone pushing her. Wondering maybe if some of the women in the 3:58-4:00 range here might be able to work together to knock a couple seconds off their PBs.
And the women's 3000SC should be exciting - really pulling for Emma here to make it under 9.

These are Provisional Entries, others can and will be added
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
