How many college job rejections for Brosnan?

A hs coach who lucked out with 2 generational talents and has a big ego isn't for college. He can't recruit. He hasn't proven he can take modest talent and make em great.

Untrue! He is an excellent recruiter……..especially when competing against those who don’t recruit because it’s against the rules.

Come on, the dude might be a tool, but this is a harsh assessment of his coaching abilities. The Girls finished 9th in the country this year. You can also remove all Youngs/Sahlmans from the results and you would still be left with 8:44/8:52/9:00/9:02/9:10/9:19 over the last 3 years. Then throw in 8:33/8:35/8:39/8:40/8:48 on top of that.

He can clearly coach. No opinon on his ability to do it in college, very different ball game as you mentioned.

To be fair, 85% of college coaches can’t do that either.

His bio says he had a small stint coaching D2. And based on his resume, I think he’s worthy of a college job. His name and resume will get him more recruits than 85% of coaches.

I would actually argue he CAN recruit. All his athletes live over an hour away and he recruited them to the school.

Find any documentation or evidence he ever coached D2 other than his words. You won’t because it never happened. His only coaching experience is NP and his wife.

Sean was a volunteer asst at Queens when his wife was on the team there. Scott Simmons was head coach at the time.

Prove it. Any mention, anywhere (other than from Brosnan). The internet is really big, surely there is some evidence somewhere.

Sean Brosnan has received a fair share of criticism, and it's up to the individual to decide if some or all of the criticism is warranted. But what I'm seeing in this thread and in other threads is the sort of pack attacks often found on social media, such as Twitter. This sort of "criticism" does not seek to engage or illuminate but rather demonize and discredit, with perhaps the intention of making Brosnan a pariah. I doubt that that will happen, but the people who do this are probably the same ones who level charges of PEDs at athletes any time they feel like it, and often without any justification. People like this do not deserve any reply.

Why would he be trying to transfer to college at this point with the talent and success he has at the HS level right now? Likely a Young will setting a 2mile or 5k record next year and possibly 3 sub 4 milers. Plus what is coming up in his Freshmen class. Besides why do college when in 2-3 years he can consider Pro with the Youngs and Salhman’s finishing college and be a bigger name than coaching UCLA or Cal Poly?

For all ww know he may have been offered a job but thought he was worth much more than a school was willing to pay ( with his ego very possible)

$10k for HS as compared to $150k for the college jobs he is applying for.

Where are these jobs? I see hs coaching making 2k and college coaching making 30-50k if you are head xc and not head track.

Ross just signed for $450k per year. The average P5 head coach earns over $200k per year and the average P5 distance coach earns more than $100k per year. Most are private schools so you are free to check. My local high school coach earns $5k for travk and $5k for XC and his assistants earn $3k each or $6k per year.

The Youngs and Sahlmans live 10 minutes away in Camarillo. Ok, everyone knows Brosnan is a tool, but when people start making up ridiculous and unsupported claims about NP's team it says more about them than it does about him.

So he has no experience recruiting? Why would a college hire a novice?

Unfortunately it is human nature to want to tear down people and things that are successful. It is usually not that hard because people are flawed.
