Nobody gives a damn how they look, you'd never say that about Benjamin, Warholm or DeSantos, give me a break! All we care is how fast they run. Great job Sydney, Femke and Dalilah!
Femke dropped a 48.95 in the mixed relay and a 49.38 split today in the 4x400 semi. That makes her pretty comfortably a 50-flat 400 meter sprinter. Probably as fast any women's 400 hurdler ever, save for Syd and maybe Delilah. So yes, she needs to get faster to beat Syd, because only a unicorn can beat Syd, and unicorns are very fast, but by mortal standards Femke is plenty fast for her event.
Hey BroJos, are you really that sensitive about people calling out the incels on your boards objectifying female athletes for no apparent reason? You're so triggered by the fact that women are humans (and not just objects) that you feel compelled to delete posts stating as much? The glass house(s?) you little boys live in must be super fragile
Oh, never mind. You censored the entire conversation. Not sure why I use this website. Could just use Weibo or some other Chinese social media instead. At least the CCP would let me call out sexist BS

Bol-oney! The girls talk about Warholm the same as talk about Femke. You can't be serious if you don't notice how beautiful these athletes are...

She singlehandedly bailed out her teammates after they botched the baton pass so badly... only to learn that her team got DQ'd. Now I feel bad for her.
One of the UK commentators was saying that as Bol gets stronger, she will be able to use a stride pattern that will improve her times...but not by 1,5 secs!
Bol going from 15 steps to 14 steps will only improve her time by a few tenths of a second.
Improving her hurdling technique would knock another few tenths of a second off her time.
What Bol really needs is to improve her flat 400 speed. But I'm not sure if Bol can get her flat 400 time down to sub 49, which is probably what it would take to beat Sydney.
Interesting take because I'd say she's not far off sub 49 right now, and that it's.mote her stride pattern and technique that needs the work. I genuinely think she could have won the 400m here.
She's proven consistently that she's about a second faster than her teammate Klaver who was 4th in 50.1ish and her relay legs have been outrageously good. All that said however, McLaughlin is on another level completely.

I agree. Bol should probably run the flat 400m, especially if McLaughlin keeps her foxus on the hurdles.
I still largely view the 400m hurdles as an event for the less talented 400m runners, but this is not the case here. Bol could be a star.
I don't feel bad for her. She's young and will own the 400H in her future. Muhammad is 25 and has peaked already. Bol has now come second only to McLaughlin. Bol is young and gaining experience. She's already far ahead of so many others. I feel bad for the rest of the field. Bol will be dominating and as the rest of the field improves. They will still fall far behind Femke Bol.
LOL...Bol is great and will dominate most races...that Sydney is not in. The interesting person to watch out for in the 400mH is not Bol, but Britton Wilson. She is only a sophomore in college but has already taken track and field by storm. She won the SEC title in the 400m, won the 400mH also and ran the fastest 400m split of 2022 at 48.59...ALL IN THE SAME DAY! IMO, she has the biggest upside to perform better over the years coming. Bol will continue to do wonders but she is not the only one to watch out for in the 400m/400mh.

People would have said the same thing about Santos after seeing Warholm the Olympics last year. You never know what is going to happen in this sport. It takes a lot of fortune to remain healthy year after year.
