So disappointed that NBC interviewed this whiny arse after the 5k heat instead of Luis Grijalva, who actually appreciates the opportunities he has in life.
I'm watching videos of this on youtube and the camera keeps zooming in and out, panning back and forth... is this the actual camera work or some kind of recording glitch?

How is Jakob whiny, he was literally the favorite and got beat (big kudos to Wightman). But If you’ve worked hard and have high expectation for anything at all, you’d know how painful it is to fall short. I’ve seen the same pissed off reaction from other sport greats such as Lebron, Messi, Ronaldo and that’s good because it shows how hard they work and how competitive they are! Be better

He is trying to get self confidence, still becoming arrogant and downgrading others. Now someone should learn this kid a lesson, that it's not with 1500m we control the 5000m.
A fatidic 12:30 pace final will show him the truth.
Yeah he was pumping up the crowd, and it was great. Who is finding a negative in this?
It’s okay for field athletes to celebrate and make people clap almost every attempt; sprinters can celebrate like they scored a touchdown after each heat. Everyone is surprised to see distance runners have personality by simply waving their arms in an otherwise obligatory 5k prelim.
